*Coughs* Gentlemen I am inquisitor Xorion the V of the ordo malleus. I have been sent here on behalf of the inquisition to make negotiations with the tau caste for supplies, if you do not cooperate then I will order this kill team to gun you down like the cowards you are and take your supplies by force. Have I made myself clear?
Campain idea. Your inquisitor is sending you to "negotiate" trade agreements with the tau, This order is coming in Directly above your inquisitors head (Inquisitor lord). He wants your team to successfully complete this mission with nothing going wrong. *pull aside a player* He is tasked with F.U.B.A.R. ing the entire mission, but must look like failed negotiations on the tau's part. The inquisitor feels that his superior is making a very ill choice and there are much more....options. (this could be to the affect he wants to trade with eldar, orks, or just wants his superiors credibility to drop)
This sounds like an awesome campaign idea! Especially if only one of the team members is tasked with messing up the negotiations without the other's knowledge. It will be even more interesting if the rest of the team is threatened with harsh punishment should the negotiations fail for any reason. I can see lots of very interesting conflicts resulting from this.
